These are the pictures of my girls (Hope and Hudsen) newly painted bathroom! It was the last room in my house that I had wanted to paint when we first moved in. Now we did move almost 6 years ago...but regardless, I finally got around to it! I have re-done all of the bedrooms and all the bathrooms over the years, and it feels good to have this done. It turned out so cute if I say so myself!! Sorry about the last picture...I know it's kind of dark.

And these 2 signs I recently acquired while in Florida...don't you just love them? I hung them in my kitchen and I giggle everytime I see them!

So anyways, that is my mighty creative blog for this fine Monday!

Isn't she lovely...

This is my beautiful daughter, Hannah...getting all set for Jr Prom this past weekend. I have to say (because I am totally unbiased of course) that she looked absolutely beautiful! She had a great time and this time didn't go with a total weinie of a date. She went with a really good friend of hers...I even watched him open the door for her when they left the house...good for him! Ain't she puuurrty? Love that girl!

Did I mention...

Did I mention that we were on the same flight to Orlando with this former N'Sync'r? Oh yes, my friends, he was sitting two rows in front of us but I didn't see him until after we got off the plane. He wasn't even sitting in first class, he was just a commoner like us! Afterwards we recognized him so Hailey and Hope wanted to get his autograph. I said sure, run up there but don't make a big deal out of it. Meanwhile I went in to the bathroom with Hannah. When we got out Hailey, Hope and Hudsen were all star struck...especially Hope!! She told me that she went up to him and asked him if he really had met Miley Cyrus (I guess he guest starred on one of her shows.) I had to laugh at that...she was more impressed with the fact that he had met her, than meeting him. I am sure that was a blow to his ego...oh well! I still love him, he was my favorite on Dancing with the Stars!!

Can I have a quick word with you...

Just one thing to say to you on this fine SPRING morning...March 27th...IT IS FREAKIN SNOWING OUTSIDE...and so far it's sticking. GET ME BACK OUT OF HERE...Good Grief people, c'mon...see what I have to deal with? Ok, that's all...

Long Lost Friend!

The day before we left for Florida I had a great visit with this cute girl and her family!! This is Jen, she and I went to BYU together (actually her hubby, Darian, was there with us too). We all lived in DT together...well obviously not Darian...that would have been SO against BYU's standards! Anyways, she was in town and they stopped by to visit...I felt so lucky that they included me on their numerous stops. They live in Nashville and I probably haven't seen her in like 15 years or so! She still looks as great as she did back then, and Darian just keeps getting better lookin as well. So thanks Jen...it was great to catch up with you!

It's been fun

Just a few pictures of our great trip here in Florida! We are heading back tonight then it's back to reality! Yuck...who wants to deal with that! We were able to do DisneyWorld, Universal Studios, go boating, go shopping, swim and just hang out with my cute and fun family! I miss Randy though so I know it's time to head back. More pictures to come when I arrive back home!

Happy 21st Birthday Dad!

Today is my daddy's birthday!!! Since I'm not at my house, I can't download any pictures of this handsome man, so this turtle will have to do. Now I'm not saying that my dad looks like this turtle or even resembles him, although I'm sure my dad is a great swimmer like this guy! But my dad is sooooo awesome and words can't even begin to describe how much I love him. He has been a role model for me throughout my entire life and I look up to him in countless ways! Have I mentioned that he is also extremely handsome?

He grew up on a farm and so learned the many ways to work hard...this is something he passed on to his daughters. I remember always working around the house with him, not always happy to do so (In fact I seem to recall that I was quite the pain in the ass) but I did learn the value of hard work! He is also the one responsible for my extreme OCD on keeping my car clean...in fact it might be safe to say that I have surpassed him in clean cars (Probably cause I own just one, where he owns like 6!)

But I love this man...he is so awesome and I would not be who I am today without him in my life. So dad...thanks for everything! I love you so much and hope you have a great day today! In fact we are getting ready to get on his boat in a few minutes and spend the day at sea. Glad I could be here to help celebrate this special day!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!! Love, your baby!

We're Outta Here.....

Yes... it's about time we blow this taco stand...we're leaving on a jet plane and don't know when we'll be back again! (OK, actually I do know when I'll be back...I couldn't run away without Randy ya know!) We are heading for sunnier skies and a heck of alot of warmer weather OR ELSE!! So I think it might be time for me to start thinking about packing...we leave this afternoon. But I figure if all I throw in is my flip flops and thong bikini, I'm set!! Wanna join us?? I've got room in my suitcase...

Girlfriends

Do you know what it's like to have a group of girlfriends who are so near and dear to your heart? Do you know what it's like to laugh so hard with these friends that you have to spit out your diet coke into a napkin before you choke on it? Do you know what it's like to sit in a car with these women in the parking lot, during a blizzard, talking for almost an hour and a half? Do you know what it feels like to laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry and receive a hug from one of them when you need it the most? Well fortunately for me, I know what this feels like. I love my girlfriends...I need them...I cherish the time I spend with them but mostly, I just love that they really love me for who I am!

So thanks girls....you know who you are...I love you all!

Less than a week...

In less than a week, we will be here....Disney World! I am taking the girls to Florida next week for Spring Break and they can't wait!! Randy and I have been on a couple of big trips lately and our poor, neglected, boo-hoo'ing girls are feeling left out. Aren't they so deprived? So we fly into Orlando and spend a few days with my sister, Ang and her cute family and then drive to Jacksonville to see my mom and dad. We will be there for my dad's birthday and for Easter....yippy!!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand myself. I told my girls they could pick one theme park and they all said..."Disney World"....so Disney, here we come. (Us and like 30 million others....ugh!)

She's Finally Here!

Meet Emersyn Ali Malan, our new niece and cousin. This sweet baby is Randy's sister, Amy's baby. Boy that was a mouthful to say! Amy and Matt are stationed over in Japan and this is their first baby. They waited long and patiently for this baby to come to earth. We are so happy for them and are just sad that they live so far away. She was born on March 5 and weighed only 5lbs 15 oz...she's just a tiny little thing. We can't wait to meet her someday! Good job you two, we love you.

Scene Stealer

Yea...see that girl in the above picture...looking all cute and innocent. Don't let her looks deceive you...she is a thief!!! See last night a bunch of us were in this DVD for Salt City Candles, we were just little peons...extras, if that suits you better!! Anyways, they were placing us around this table and I had a fine spot....right in the middle, with the table hiding my muffin top (which I was very pleased with). I was already to make my great debut when the director told me he was seeing too much pink (I had a pink sweater on) so he moved me to the back and this thief stole my scene. So she is on my hit list....Jenny, watch your back I'm coming for you! Anyways, it was all fine, Rachel and I stood in the back...little peons...but we had fun.
So thanks Catherine (she's the one on the left, Rachel is on the right) we had fun and thanks for the great gift basket....they smell so yummy! And by the way, if you want my autograph, you'll have to get in line ;)

I Love Jesus...

Hopefully you can read this sweet note Hudsen wrote the other night. I just saw it sitting on her bedside table...just some light reading for you all. I think she might be taking notes to bear her testimony some day. I especially love the part that says "I love me too so so much very much". Oh man I love that girl!!

My Girls...

See these 4 beautiful daughters I have....I love them so much and am so grateful to be their mother!!! They bring me so much happiness and joy, and the occasional heartache and worry. All normal feelings for a mommy, right? Just thought I'd share a glimpse of their personalities with you and let you into our lives for a moment...

Hannah....a very strong girl who at 17 is growing into such a beautiful woman. Extremely smart and self motivator, excellent artist and at 6ft 1inch, a beautiful and talented volleyball player. So much potential in that life ahead of her.

Hailey...my most tender hearted and sensitive child. Has been that way since she came into this world. Is loving towards all animals and is a very loyal friend. She knows what is right and constantly amazes me by the right choices she makes for herself. She also has the best hair...perfect color and thick and beautiful.

Hope...my outgoing, go getter, social butterfly and perhaps a bit on the dramatic side!! Very polite and is a sweetheart. Wants to be everyone's friend and wants all to be treated equally. But probably the one who will be a heartbreaker with the boys...I think she is beautiful, inside and out!

Hudsen...my BABY! Just pure joy to have around. She is the most willing to help me with anything I need. She loves me and tells me so about a hundred times a day. Makes our entire family laugh and completes our family.

Just thought I'd express my love for each of these beautiful girls...I love them sooooo much!

This made my Day, Week, Month!!!

So I get a phone call on Sunday from one of my favorite people ever....TARA!! And good news, she tells me she is moving back to SLC!! Even better news, she's going to bring that cute family with her...Yippy Skippy!! I can't even tell you how happy I am to hear this news. She moved away like 4 years ago and that was a sad day, but I always knew she'd be back. I knew she couldn't stay away...and that Jeffrey, he loves me, he really loves me :) Thanks brother, I owe you big time!!!!

So sorry St George peeps...you are losing a great gal, might I mention a gal who can sing like no other!!!! American Idol would be lucky to have her on their stage. I just hope those around her have been able to enjoy her voice for 4 long years....if not, you are missing out!! Now it's my time to hear this song bird again, of course she'll need to keep practicing for my funeral someday.

Lucky, lucky, lucky me!! I love the Davis family and can't wait for their return!

I can't feel a thing!

So I've just returned from sitting in the dentist chair for almost 2 hours. Let me just say how much I hate the dentist but LOVE the gas they strap on you. When asked if I want the gas, I have to laugh and say..."HELL YES, is there any other reason I'd be here?" Fortunately they did not have to do a root canal, just a lot of digging and drilling and endless torture. They gave me like 5 different shots to numb me and can I just say....I honestly can not feel a thing on the left side of my face. I am numb from mouth to ear...I kid you not!! And I feel like I am drowning in my own spit....Randy might come home from work and find me dead from my own salivia! This is coming from a girl who knows her dentist well...I have had almost 30 root canals (Do you even have that many teeth) and those teeth that don't have the root canal surely have been at least filled from a cavity. I think I have sent my dentist to Mexico and back a buttload of times just by the money he's making on my mouth!

Well, I'm off to try and get something done around here....just as soon as I wipe the drool from my chin:)
