Report card of a 7 yr old

We had parent teacher conferences a little while ago and the kids were supposed to fill out this card about how THEY thought THEY were doing. This is Hudsen's (clearly, since her name is written on the top!) and keep in mind she is in 2nd grade. I'm glad she feels good about her abilities and she is definitely setting goals for herself...way to go little Muncher!! What just made my heart melt was line #3...the spelling part...where she writes how she can improve; "I sometimes lose balance of my pencil"!! How great is that, is not the actual spelling skills she needs to improve on, that's not causing the problem...it's that darn pencil, it's so slippery and unbalanced. Of course, that's why she's having problems spelling.

Oh man, how much do I love that girl!! Keep up the good work and don't let that pencil get the best of ya!!

Hudsen, I think your wobley pencil writes really cute, thought provoking, and mature letters. It also draws very nice, beautiful pictures that I keep in my treasure chest of grandchildrens' art. Just keep 'em coming - I love them! mamamia

She is an honest little cutie, isn't she? "Sometimes I get distracted..." don't we all!
