So my poor little Hannah has been so sick...we are pretty sure she has mono and are taking her in this morning for blood work. Then we will know for sure! But until then, there is nothing I can do...she has no energy, sleeps all the time and just feels plain lousy. Plus she is getting really bored of being in her bed all the time. I remember having this in HS...it did suck! So, any great ideas or remedies for her? Good DVD's I can rent for her...anything?

Awww poor baby. I love me some Anne of Green Gables when I'm sick. I hope she feels better soon!
So So Sorry, hope you feel better Hannah, I have never had mono but I hear it is pretty nasty. Cant think of anything I have seen lately on DVD but just start TIVOing anything and everything...good luck
Just ask her who she's been kissing, since it IS the kissing disease and all.
Our Haylee gets mono a lot...they seem to have found relief in some herbal remedy. I will investigate and call you.
poor hannah--when i got my gallbladder out a few years ago i rented a bunch of concert dvd's of different groups that i liked--kind of changes it up from movies.
no fun for mom, either. hope she is okay!
Poor girl!! Not fun for her at all -- wish there was more that could actually be DONE for mono.
Bummer Han! I know she likes Law and Order - if she hasn't seen the earliest seasons - you could probably rent those...?
Pride and Prejudice (the long, old one) is always my favorite when I'm sick. She'd probably like Across The Universe if she hasn't already seen it as well.
aw. big bunch of suck.
Hope is so upset about this! (I heard all the drama before I even saw it on your blog!) Hope she feels better! Doesn't Hannah know that you get mono from making out with boys? =) Isn't that what everyone says?
Oh. Arrested Development. Have her watch those. Hilarious.
So our long stemmed American Beauty Rose is wilted?!! This is very bad news!! I can't think of anything that I ever had as a teenagaer that is as bad as being so mono sick and having to miss school and friends and, for Hannah, volleyball tourneys. It's like you're in the twilight zone and so out of step with life. It's like really stopping the world and getting off. Blah!! I'd say hugs and kisses but you don't want to get that close to her. I think I might risk that however if it would make her feel better. I'm going to try to find an old movie called "Something Wicked This Way Comes" for her to watch. And, of course, the old Law & Order shows will keep her mind off of her hurts and onto someone else's. And how about old videos or when she was tinsee. Sweet dreams, Hannah. Love you.
