But this is the way life is right?, you get used to having your little family all safe and sound under one roof and then one by one they leave you...boo hoo. Hannah is so excited though and I know she is going to do great things with her life...now I just need to figure out what to do with mine!

It happened...
You know when you have lived with someone for almost 19 years, day in and day out, it is REALLY hard to let them go! But I suppose this mother duck has to let her duckling fly (or just waddle)!! We drove Hannah down to Dixie on Thursday and by Friday morning she was shooing us out the door. Let me just tell you that 4 hour drive home was the longest ride of my life! I couldn't bring myself to go into her room until late last night, it was so sad! And even more touching is the fact that when I went to put something away this morning in her room, I found Hailey asleep in her bed. Let's just say it's hard on all of us :(

I am so on your team! Letting them go is the hardest thing to do - yet the most fulfilling at the same time!... such a toss up! Hannah is awesome! She IS going to do great things! And your girls are so close and cute. Talking to them at the reunion was so touching.... what a neat family!
Chin up mom! You've done a great job!
Oh! That seems so hard. I know I will feel the same way! John's Dad says he wishes all his kids were 3 and still living with him!
awwwwwww! I miss you guys already!! Emmy misses you too!
oh i LOVE seeing Hannah's super high bed! Brings back so many memories. I was thinking about how I'm not so young and cool anymore. I moved to Dixie 10 YEARS ago! Before you know it, she'll be old like me and you'll be a grandma. (hope that makes you feel better).
You are too young for a college student. How did that happen?
Awww Bless your heart, Melissa. Your post broke my little heart...why must our children grow up? :) I am feeling for you and hope you are doing well!
okay.
your absence from the blog world is actually starting to piss me off. and i don't use that word:)
