OK...the TEXTING thing is really driving me crazy these days. I know for many of you that have smaller children this is not an issue...Yet...but just you wait! It is a whole new world of technology and I'm not sure about it. Our two oldest, Hannah and Hailey, have phones and unlimited text...when I say unlimited I am not kidding. Last month Hannah had 10,000 text...yes that is in one month, not one year. This is crazy...it's pretty much all she does when she is home. We have started enforcing rules about it...no phone at the dinner table, no texting past 11:00 at night, no texting while in the shower (hee)...you know those kinds of rules. But still, it is the only way these kids communicate and I think it's ridiculous. Now I have to say that I too, do text and I do enjoy it. It is quite convenient and handy when you don't really have time to talk or you don't really want to talk to that person, you just send a quick text. But come on ...10,000 text...what are you talking about?
Maybe Randy and I should crack down harder on this but like I said this is all new territory and we are figuring it out as we go. So wish us luck...bfn..bff...lol...ttyl

oh wow. you just be glad that you have unlimited! i text a lot, too. i'm very guilty of it. sometimes i find myself irritated if someone calls me when they just could text me! (antisocial a bit?) but 10,000 - that is crazy. i feel like i'm going buck wild when i hit 2,000 a month.
how sad is it that i don't even know how to send a text? i can hardly figure out how to read one when they get sent to me. but it's what the kids are doing. but they should be TALKING a little more, don't you think? crazy, crazy, crazy! the things i have to look forward to as my kids get older...
umm...I feel super old now. I don't know what most of those abreviations even stand for. 10,000 texts? that is like...I don't know...A LOT every day :)
(math was never my strong suit:)
10,000?? She must have tons of friends. I feel SO old. People didn't even have cell phones when I was in school(I'm 34) we didn't even have internet. Wow, I sound like an old man "Back in my day....":)
this is so funny. I'm with Natalie, my cell phone isn't even set up to send a text, I know I could...but I just haven't. That is a crazy amount of text messages though, Wowser!
I like what you've done with the place!
I bet most of her texts' say, "ok", "no", "gtg"..nothing of real importance. (JK Hannah, I'm sure they are important to you!). My boys have texting but it's not unlimited. They don't care, they're boys. I like the new background...just have to put my reading glasses on to see the text. Black text is best in my mind. I guess I can do black on my own site....ya' right! Send me a text pic of you blogging. xo
Hey mom, how many texts did I have????? NOT 10,000 I am sure. ;) hehe.
I loved all your "ttyl" & "bff." That's funny. And this is new territory for me--you'll have to school me in this stuff!! I LOVE your new blog colors, by the way--very very cute. Also, the picture of Brad--gorgeous!! And the picture fo Diet Coke makes me just a little sad and nostalgic. :)
